The Testaments: Of One Fold and One Shepherd

Hi all -- I just was notified that you can purchase "The Testaments: Of One Fold and One Shepherd" through the LDS Catalog. It's only $4.50 for the DVD. Anyway, the reason I tell you about it is because it was my film debut (I was village person #61 in the film). I kind of laugh about it because I'm only in 1 scene but it was really cool to be in it and see the behind the scenes of filmmaking. My very good friend Tomas Kofod played the role of Christ in the film, and his wife was also in it as an extra (and she designed some of the costumes as well).

Anyway, it's a great film, the people involved were very nice and hard working. I loved being involved plus, it has a powerful message.

The Secret - Oprah

I loved the DVD "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and it was spotlighted on Oprah both this week and last week. The Secret focuses on the Law of Attraction -- what you focus on is what you get in life.

Anyway, with my Bookwise store, I can sell the book for only $16.77. If you're interested click on the link above, select Catalog and Advice, How-To -- then you can sign up as a preferred customer and get books at a discount. I haven't read the book yet, but have ordered it and can't wait to see how close it follows the DVD. I'm also excited that they announced on Oprah they are doing a sequel for The Secret which should come up sometime this year.

If you haven't seen it or read the book, it really can help you decide what it is you want in life and help you achieve your goals. It's a good way to get a new perspective.

Paintings on Sale - Walter Rane, Eric Dowdle

Hi all -- I've just listed a few paintings for sale on my eBay store -- http://stores.ebay.com/Stuff-n-Things. The paintings are beautiful, framed, canvas wrapped lithographs. They range from the Last Supper, to the Empty Tomb (would be a great gift for Easter), to Noah's Ark, and the Parable of the 10 Virgins. Check them out. They really are beautiful and for good prices.

Procrastinating

Do any of you procrastinate? I do for sure! Huge projects are the worst for me -- such as organizing my scrapbook room (packed closet, shelves filled with papers, embellishments, binders, photos, etc.) I just don't have the 10-12 hours I think it's going to take to do it, so I think, I'll get to it later. But I never have 10-12 hours straight to get to it. So I just pile new stuff on top of old stuff and hope I won't need something at the bottom. :-)

But this is the year I'm going to get completely organized! I've told myself that if I just do small things each day, then I won't get overwhelmed and gradually it will get done. It actually works!

I've organized at least 10 drawers, cleaned off 3 shelves, and soon will get to the scrapbook shelves. It feels so good. I'm giving away things I haven't used for years (to people who will use and appreciate them) -- that feels good too.

Anyway, a little bit each day will get us where we want to go eventually. I find that scrapbooking is the same way. I sometimes procrastinate that too because I know once I pull out all of my pictures, it's going to take a few hours to get in the groove again. I wish I had space where I could just leave everything out and then do one or two pages each day. In my next house, I'm going to create a countertop/table space just for that.

But as it stands now, I'll just keep plugging away room by room in my house and eventually (this year) I'll be organized! Yeah!

Want to Lose Weight?

Here is a great resource if you want to lose weight -- Qi Weight Loss. It reviews all of the different diets and gives tips about how to lose weight safely. You can learn about diets ranging from the new diet Oprah is on to the Mediterranean diet. Or get information about Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, and NutriSystem. You can also learn about diet pills and if they might work for you. Get information about the Atkins diet, the Zone diet, South Beach as well as a raw food diet, hoodia, and even find out about the weight loss program Ellen DeGeneres and Bob Harper are doing together. Once you have information about each diet, you can choose which would work best for you.

I started this year off determined to relax more, get rid of some unnecessary stresses, sleep more, eat less and more healthy foods, and have the life I really want. Well, my year didn't start out great -- I've been sick since right after Christmas with pneumonia and bronchitis -- but it has been a blessing -- forcing me to slow down and figure out what I really want.

I really want to be healthy and take time to enjoy life. So, here's to setting new goals, and creating the life we want!

Back to Blogging

Hi all -- I've been gone for a while -- out sick with pneumonia and bronchitis. But I'm starting to feel human again and I'm back to blogging. Thanks for your patience while I've been away.
