Meeting Taylor Hicks

Well, over the weekend I attended the Stadium of Fire Celebration. I was able to get some backstage passes to meet Taylor Hicks. My niece is his biggest fan, so I surprised her with front row seats and going backstage. That was my favorite part -- to see her face when he put his arm around her, gave her an autograph and had photos taken with her. It was a very memorable experience for me -- and gave me a tremendous amount of joy to make a dream come true for her.

I was grateful she had her camera and took tons of pictures -- so I can scrapbook about the event. It's an occasion I don't want to forget and pictures always seem to bring back the memories much more easily than words.

If any of you were able to attend the Stadium of Fire -- it was one of my favorite celebrations ever. I loved it! It was the first year I was up front -- so that probably made it more interactive for me -- but if you ever have a chance to attend -- definitely go!
