Digital Scrapbooking
The latest trend is computer scrapbooking or digital scrapbooking. You can create your scrapbook pages on the computer and then print your pages. One benefit includes the ability to copy those pages easily and email them to family, or create copies of your scrapbooks for each child quickly.

I actually think digital scrapbooking is really silly. If you're working on the computer, why bother mimicking the appearance of paper and real life embelishments. You're better off to create a slideshow or website. To me, the joy of scrapbooking is all on the hand-on part of it.

I personally like cutting the paper, laying it all out, then re-working it until I get it the way I want it. But I think the most important part is that we all preserve our memories. And if for some that means using a digital means to do it, then more power to them. Thanks for the interesting read!

Digital Scrapbooking is an amazing medium for the modern age. You can create one book and share it with many. I create most of mine in Powerpoint so it is a slide show like flipping the pages of the real book. It also allows for animation which gives the view the idea that they are watching how the page evolves. There is no right or wrong way of scrapbooking, how wonderful it is that there are a variety of ways to accomplish our memory saving.
So whatever the method, the finished product and the memories it stirs in the hearts of the viewer is all that really counts.
